Questions for your attorney

Hiring the right attorney is critical to having a positive bankruptcy experience and to the overall success of your case.  There are many factors to consider when selecting an attorney.  Some considerations will be practical: Does the attorney specialize in one type of bankruptcy, is the attorney familiar with your financial situation, does the attorney file more business or individual cases? Other considerations are more subjective in nature. First and foremost what is their personality like and does it mesh well with yours? Do you feel more comfortable working with a large firm with lots of resources or would you rather have the one on one attention a single practitioner offers?

So keep in mind that an attorney may be right for one person but wrong for another. Don’t be afraid to interview as many as you need until you find one you feel confident working with. In order to help you find your attorney, here are some questions you may want to ask.
